DebriefStudio — for filmmakers, creator-producers & AI video creators

DebriefStudio turns vague briefs into clear, quote-ready project plans.

DebriefStudio is a web app that helps filmmakers, producers and AI video creators turn rough client requests into professional video production briefs, per-department briefs, and kickoff checklists.

Paste a messy client request, script, or reference doc. DebriefStudio asks the missing questions, structures the scope, and prepares a project debrief, client-facing version, and per-department briefs for internal planning.

How it works

From messy request to quote-ready debrief in about 10 minutes.

Step 01

Paste the request

Client email, Slack thread, rough script, or your own notes. A client here is anyone giving you an assignment — brand, agency, producer, or founder. Attach PDFs or Word docs if you have them.

Step 02

Answer the missing questions

DebriefStudio spots gaps — budget, deliverables, timeline, releases — and asks in a sensible order.

Step 03

Get the full brief pack

A project debrief for your own planning, a cleaner client-facing version, per-HOD briefs with sensitive details redacted, and a kickoff checklist tailored to how you work.

Who it's for

One-shop filmmakers

Freelancers running the whole job solo. Quote fast without under-scoping, and reply to clients with something professional.

Producers, line producers & UPMs

Turn a messy incoming request into a clean scope your crew and suppliers can price against — before the meeting.

Directors, DoPs & production designers

When the brief you were handed isn't good enough, rebuild it into something you can actually work from.

Creator-producers

You wear every hat. Skip the blank page — get to the brief that unblocks the crew.

AI video creators

Generative and hybrid workflows. Same job: turn a vague request into a scoped, quote-ready plan.

Built for private work

Your client's IP (intellectual property) stays your client's IP.

Private by default

Only you see your projects.

Every project is scoped to your account with row-level security. Nothing is shared with other users.

Confidential mode

NDA-safe redaction.

NDA means non-disclosure agreement. Flag sensitive terms — client, talent, brand, product codenames. They're replaced with placeholders before anything is sent for processing, then swapped back for you.

No training

Your work stays your work.

Requests go through the platform this app is built on, whose provider contract prohibits using inputs or outputs to train models.

FAQ

Things people ask

Is my content really private?+
Yes. Every project is scoped to your account. We don't share your content with other users, and the platform this app is built on prohibits training on your inputs or outputs.
What does Confidential mode do?+
You flag sensitive terms — client names, talent, product codenames. Before anything is sent for processing, those terms are swapped for placeholders. The results are swapped back only in your view.
Can I cancel anytime?+
Yes. You stay on your paid plan until the end of the current period, then drop to Free. Top-up credits never expire.
What happens after I use my 2 free projects?+
Nothing bad — your existing projects stay accessible. To start a new one, upgrade to Solo or Studio, or buy a one-time top-up.
Does it work for AI / generative video?+
Yes. The same intake and brief structure applies whether you're shooting on RED or building a Runway pipeline — the outputs adapt to the deliverables you describe.
Can I see an example before I sign up?+
The short film above shows the workflow. A full worked example is available inside the app once you create your free account — this keeps our prompts, questions, and output structure out of public view.
